FanOptikHow fan data is handled
A statement written for creators to share with their audience, and for agencies to publish under their own brand. No legal fog. Last updated: July 2026.
The short version
If you subscribe to or buy from a creator whose account is managed with FanOptik, the system records what you bought, when, and for how much, so the creator’s income can be accounted for correctly. It does not read your messages, keep notes about you as a person, sell anything to anyone, or let a chatbot talk to you.
What is recorded
- Your OnlyFans username and display name
- Purchases: amount, date, and type (subscription, tip, or message purchase)
- Subscription status and dates
- How many messages were exchanged: the number, never the content
What is never recorded
- The content of your messages. Not stored, not analysed, not used to train anything. This is enforced by automated tests, not just policy.
- Notes about you as a person. No free text fields describing your job, income, relationships or circumstances. This is a deliberate design decision.
- Payment card details, real name, address, or government identifiers. OnlyFans handles payment and never shares these.
- Your location.
Who can see it
Only the agency or creator team managing the account. Data lives in that team’s own isolated database, encrypted, and is never sold, shared or sent to any third party. There is no advertising integration.
Are you talking to a real person?
Creator accounts managed by a team may be operated with assistance from that team. OnlyFans’ own terms note that “third parties may assist Creators in operating their accounts.”
No chatbot converses with you. Software may help a team member prepare a draft, with your identifying details stripped out first, but a person reviews and sends every message. Nothing is sent without a human choosing to send it.
How long it is kept
Detailed purchase records are kept for 24 months. After that they are combined into monthly totals that carry no personal identifier at all, and the detailed records are deleted.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, EU, California or another jurisdiction with data protection law, you can ask for:
- A copy of everything held about you, including who has accessed your record and when
- Erasure. Your username and display name are permanently destroyed. Purchase totals remain in the creator’s accounts as required for financial record keeping, but they can no longer be connected to you.
- Correction of anything inaccurate
- Objection to the processing

Automated decisions
Spending history is used to suggest what content might be offered and at what price. A person decides what to actually do. There is no automated decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect on you, and nothing happens without a human choosing it.
