Terms of service

Clear terms, plain language. Legal documents should be readable, not a reason to call a lawyer before you can work with us. Last updated: July 2026.

Agreement

These terms govern your use of fanoptik.com and the FanOptik platform. By creating a workspace or starting a pilot, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an agency, you confirm you have authority to do so.

What FanOptik is

Software for analytics, team accountability and payroll for creator businesses. FanOptik is a tool that records, reconciles and computes. It is not an employer, payment processor, talent agency, law firm or accounting firm, and its outputs are records for your decisions, not professional advice.

Authorised accounts only

You may connect only accounts you own or are explicitly authorised to manage, and you are responsible for keeping that authorisation current. You must be able to show it if we ask.

You acknowledge that third party tooling operates outside the connected platform’s own terms of service, that platform enforcement decisions are outside our control, and that FanOptik’s safety design reduces but cannot eliminate that risk. We are direct about this because it is true.

Acceptable use

  • No unlawful use, and no use involving anyone under 18 in any capacity
  • No connecting accounts without authorisation
  • No attempting to defeat the platform’s safety pacing, guardrails or kill switches
  • No reselling access outside an agreed white label arrangement
  • Keep your team’s logins personal: shared FanOptik accounts defeat the point of the product

Billing

Plans are billed monthly per connected creator, as described on the pricing page. No long term contracts: cancel any time, effective at the end of the billing month. Founding rates stay locked for as long as the subscription remains active. Pilots are free and require no payment method.

Your data

Your workspace data belongs to you. You can export it at any time, and when you leave we delete it on request. How we handle it is covered by the privacy policy and the fan data statement.

Warranties and liability

We commit to running the service carefully and fixing what breaks. Beyond that, the service is provided as is: we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, the behaviour of third party platforms, or business outcomes.

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Termination

You can leave any time. We can suspend or end access for breach of these terms, unlawful use, or non payment, with notice and a chance to fix it where that is reasonable. Either way, you get your export.

Changes and contact

If these terms change materially, we update the date above and notify active customers before the change applies to them. Questions: hello@fanoptik.com.
